I have been researching my mother’s side of the family for years. Imagine my surprise when I found out my Great-grandfather’s NeHi Bottling business was actually called “Barnett’s Pop Shop”. The family business was started in 1892 by Philip Asbury Barnett III. He had two sons, Eugene Cessna Barnett (my Grandfather) and William Hawthorne Barnett. Both sons worked in the family business. I love your site and enjoying sharing history and pictures.

This is truly fantastic. Loved the library section. I never knew of the stories Mom wrote. It is late at night and I was unable to read everything. Plan to come back soon.

Message: This is WAY tooo cool. What an awesome site! I'm Patti... married John Paul 24 years ago. I think I married into the blacksheep side of your family! No - just joking. All I know is Grandpa Jack (John Robert Eichelberger Sr.) was a twin and his Mom died when he was young and the family was split up... he was raised by his Uncle (a lawyer in Mansfield, Ohio). They are a catholic family... and good people. Wonder if we are all "related"? Even if not, I claim the few Eichelberger's I've met as "family"... with a name like this we have to be! The story is we came origionally from Eichelberg, Germany. Grandpa came to Germany and received the key to the town from the Mayor on his visit... we went there a couple of weeks ago (we're here for a month) but it wasn't much of a town anymore... had one restaurant that had great food and drinks though. No one knew of any Eichelberger's anymore though. This is a great web site - would love for my son to be able to chat with the person that organized it! I'd love to do something like this with my families!!!
Have a great day - we don't get back to Kansas until the end of this week, so won't have access to my email until Monday or so (our site is down again...one of the many joys of living in the country!
Take care & God Bless!
